We know your pets are part of your family and our priority is, and always will be, to ensure they have access to the very best care, no matter what the time of day or night. That’s why we’re proud to partner other practices in the region to offer an out of hours emergency service.

We have a dedicated night team, so you don’t have to worry about disturbing them out of hours. If you’re worried about your pet, don’t hesitate to contact your usual practice number who will transfer your call to us, and we’ll advise what you should do next.

For routine cases such as vaccinations and topical treatments, please call your veterinary practice as you would normally, during their daytime opening hours.

The History

As part of the commitment to offer clinical excellence and ensuring that pets remain healthy, and owners remain happy, the team at Three Counties Veterinary Emergencies started a service to cover those hours when a practice is usually shut.

Three Counties Veterinary Emergencies was set up when a group of local practices came together to provide a dedicated out-of-hours service as a branch of Coombefield Veterinary Hospital (CVH) in May 2022. There is an experienced veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse on site 24/7, to deliver a local and affordable small animal emergency service to clients of CVH and of our supporting member practices.

Important Information

Clients registered to other local veterinary surgeons or practices requesting an emergency consultation including consultations out of hours WILL be redirected to the veterinary surgeon or practice that they are registered with. Our on-duty staff reserve the right to decline to carry out the consultation. This is in line with the RCVS Guidance for out of hours provision of services.
